A new start...a return to Driftwood , Stone and Glass.

Its August 2017 and suddenly I have the urge to return to working in mediums that I put aside a few years ago in pursuit of painting full time. The decision at that time was based on sales. Simply put, the galleries I entrusted with the sales of my three dimensional pieces were not delivering regular sales for me to make enough money from my efforts , for it to be a financially viable process. So I decided to pack it all up and focus on painting , which seemed to produce regular sales,  if I stayed within popular themes.

I will not say that I have not missed sculpture, because I have....but, I would like to think that I am wiser about website control and marketing now..so maybe now , is the time to try again with my three dimensional  work and see what will happen over the next few months,  as I re-develop this aspect of my creativity. In this blog I will discuss and share my progress as I begin to forage the shores for my wood and stone as well as sea glass....for my art works. I am going to create a range of pieces that will touch craft criteria but still retain a fine art element in that no two pieces will ever be the same....all pieces will be one off and original.

I will start this blog entry with re-visiting some of my drift wood sculptures , worked from wood collected from the beach. Some of these are still for sale on my new website sales page/site : https://sites.google.com/view/beachart

All these pieces were made from material I collected from the beach.
